Mission & Purpose

The mission of Fellowship Baptist Church of Silver Spring is to live as a community of baptized believers related by faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We will serve all humanity by living a Christian lifestyle through the power of the Holy Spirit. We will learn and obey the Word of God, exercising our spiritual gifts, and enjoy the rights and privileges invested to us by Jesus Christ. We are a family and thus we are committed to love one another as Jesus Christ has commanded. We will express our love for humanity through service and proclaiming the gospel message to all people.

The purpose of Fellowship Baptist Church of Silver Spring is to glorify God through outreach, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service. Fellowship Baptist Church of Silver Spring was founded based on the belief that many baptized believers in Jesus Christ have become estranged from the local church body. Therefore, we place a special emphasis on our ministry to recover the estranged and disenfranchised believer through a humble defense of the gospel and call to repentance, we will encourage those to restore their membership in a Christian church. Fellowship Baptist Church is a spiritual body of Jesus Christ, serving the world today. Therefore, we will reach out to and offer help to the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused. We will
offer them love, acceptance, affirmation, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, encouragement, and salvation of Jesus Christ.
