Our History
Fellowship Baptist Church’s (FBC) legacy started with Reverend (Rev.) Dr. William Collins, Jr. and twenty-five family members and friends on October 23, 1988 (36 years ago) at Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Rockville, Maryland. The original church name was Koinonia
Baptist Mission (in the Greek language of the New Testament, Koinonia means fellowship). Fifteen of the twenty-five people committed to become members of Koinonia Baptist Mission. The group was welcomed by Viers Mill Baptist Church on November 13, 1988, which became the parent church. This Christian relationship and fellowship continues to worship together
quarterly as one body in Christ!
